The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual inspection techniques, GDandT, use of shadowgraph/optical comparators, and conducting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). Key responsibilities:- Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components against engineering drawings and specifications using GDandT principles.- Conduct manual inspections using precision hand tools (callipers, micrometers, height gauges, Go/No-Go gauges) and optical comparators/shadowgraphs.- Execute and document FAIRs/FAIs, preparing accurate inspection reports and non-conformance documentation where required.- Verify dimensional and visual conformity throughout production and during final inspection.- Work closely with production and engineering to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.- Maintain inspection records and ensure measuring equipment is calibrated and traceable.- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.
