The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GD&T, manual inspection techniques, use of shadowgraph/optical comparators, and conducting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). Key responsibilities: - Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components against engineering drawings and specifications using GD&T principles. - Conduct manual inspections using precision hand tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, Go/No-Go gauges) and optical comparators/shadowgraphs. - Execute and document FAIRs/FAIs, preparing accurate inspection reports and non-conformance documentation where required. - Verify dimensional and visual conformity throughout production and during final inspection. - Work closely with production and engineering to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. - Maintain inspection records and ensure measuring equipment is calibrated and traceable. - Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.
