Mechanical Inspector

We''re recruiting on behalf of an established engineering/manufacturing client who are looking to hire a Mechanical Inspector to join their Quality team, reporting to the QA Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring mechanical components, sub-assemblies and finished items meet engineering, quality and compliance requirements, supporting production continuity and customer expectations.Mechanical Inspector - Key responsibilities - Quality, Inspection, Manufacturing, EngineeringInspect incoming components against drawings, specifications and purchase order requirementsCarry out in-process and final inspections of mechanical parts and assembliesIdentify, document and raise non-conformances in line with QMS proceduresSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions where requiredInterpret engineering drawings, tolerances and technical specificationsComplete dimensional inspection using manual measuring tools and CMM (where applicable)Maintain calibration status and traceability of inspection equipmentRecord inspection results and quality data accurately in the ERP systemSupport goods-in and goods-out checks during busy periodsMaintain housekeeping standards and follow safety/compliance requirements Mechanical Inspector - Experience - Quality, Inspection, Manufacturing, EngineeringMechanical engineering background or strong practical inspection experienceConfident reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawingsMechanical inspection or quality assurance ..... full job details .....
