Mechanical TechniciansLocation: East YorkshireRate: 21.57 PAYE / 29.00 UmbrellaHours: Minimum 45 hours per weekShift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 06:30 - 15:30Duration: Ongoing ContractShorterm Group are recruiting for a number of Mechanical Modifications Technicians to join a major engineering project in East Yorkshire.Working within a modern rolling stock production facility, you will be involved in the implementation of a suite of modifications on new London Underground vehicles.Importantly, rolling stock experience is not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates with strong mechanical experience from a wide range of backgrounds, including: PSV Technicians HGV Technicians Bus and Coach Engineers Automotive Technicians Plant Fitters Military Vehicle Technicians Aviation Engineers Mechanical Fitters and AssemblersIf you have solid hands-on mechanical experience and relevant qualifications, your application will be considered.Duties will include: Carrying out mechanical and interior modifications Undertaking underframe mechanical work Recording work via internal IT systems Carrying out inspections and checks to ensure fleet reliability Identifying improvements and feeding back to Team Leaders Diagnosing and rectifying defectsRequirements: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a Mechanical or Engineering discipline Previous mechanical fitting, assembly, maintenance or modification experiencePlease note all applicants must be able to pass a Drugs and Alcohol test ..... full job details .....
