Mechanical Fitter

My client is a leading FMCG manufacturing organisation with an impressive history and a fantastic reputation.They are now looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their site on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the engineering team in reaching a higher level of standard.This role would be well suited to a mechanical fitter working within an industrial sector looking to move into FMCG; a mechanical maintenance engineer working on a 24hr facility working shifts wanting to secure a dayshift position; or a mechanic wanting a new challenge! This is a Monday - Friday dayshift position. Also has an on-call rota. Responsibilities:Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment as defined by our PPM schedule to the highest standardWork as part of a mechanical/electrical team, to keep our plant availability in line with operational commitmentsAssist with machine improvement projects Monitor, fault find, maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment including pumps, gearboxes, and specialist treatment process machineryApply first level maintenance activities to all onsite assetsLarge plant complex repairsUsing Breathing Apparatus and working in confined spaces if required (Training will be provided if required)Development of new skills both in and outside of your core disciplineWorking on fixed plant on Water and Waste Water Treatment sites to fault find, repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment including ..... full job details .....
