This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile energy infrastructure project with competitive rates and long-term prospects. Key Responsibilities: Installation, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical components within substations Working on high-voltage equipment including switchgear and associated systems Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications Carrying out inspections, testing, and fault finding Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards Essential Requirements: Valid NG Persons certification (National Grid) Proven experience working on substation or similar high-voltage projects Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering) CSCS or ECS card Strong understanding of site safety procedures and permit-to-work systems Desirable Certifications: National Grid BESC (Basic Electrical Safety Competence) National Grid Competent Person / Authorised Person IPAF / PASMA Manual Handling & Working at Height ...
