      <description>Location: Warrington | Salary: 10000-500000 Annual | Type: Permanent | We are seeking a skilled Pump Fitter and Winder to support United Utilities'' engineering operations across the sites. This role is crucial for the strip-down, inspection, rebuild, and testing of submersible pumps, motors, and gearboxes.  Location: Initially Chorley, then Warrington WA2 Contract: 12-month contract (covering a secondment) - strong likelihood of becoming permanent Rate: £24.03 PAYE Hours: Flexi-time available (core 7:00-15:00) + ad hoc overtime Tools/Equipment: All provided on site  Day-to-day of the role:  Strip down, rebuild, and test submersible pumps. Overhaul motors and gearboxes. Work on ABS, Flygt, Zylam, NOV, or similar pump systems. Mechanical strip, inspect, clean, spray, and rebuild components. Carry out basic electrical and mechanical testing. Maintain accurate records and use basic IT systems. Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met across all work. Provide on-the-job training to the team when required.
