This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical assembly and fitting skills who is confident reading engineering drawings and working as part of a collaborative production team.The RoleAs a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and fitting of pump systems, including electric and diesel pump skid sets, working from engineering drawings and bills of materials.Your responsibilities will include: Building bare shaft pumps from engineering drawingsAssembling electric and diesel pump skid setsReading and interpreting engineering drawings and bills of materialsCompleting production check sheets and documentationIdentifying and reporting assembly and quality issuesWorking closely with Engineering, QA, Planning and other departments to resolve build issuesCommunicating build progress and any issues to supervisors and managersPreparing completed pumps for testingMaintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeepingSupporting and guiding less experienced members of the team where required About YouWe are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with: Recognised engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, relevant experience; or ..... full job details .....
