Mechanical Fitter

An opportunity has become available for a Shift Mechanical Fitter at our Inverness facility in Inverness, Highland region. This is a full time permanent position that will require shift work, with an excellent salary and benefits package. This position will report the Mechanical Supervisor and Shift Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Repair of mechanical breakdowns throughout the plant Carry out preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment as required Identify and report any signs of equipment failure Ensure all documentation is kept up to date Install and commission equipment and services as requested Adopt and maintain good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas Work carried out in accordance with permit to work code of practice Assist with other engineering work when and where required as directed by Mechanical supervisor Essential Requirements Minimum City and Guilds/ONC level in a mechanical discipline Full 4-year apprenticeship completed Industrial maintenance experience preferred A strong health and safety awareness and the ability to work unsupervised Full details of the Mechanical Fitter role available on application.
