Job Title: Mechanical FitterLocation: Bolton, Bromley CrossSalary: Up to £18.00 per hour + Overtime + Working Away UpliftShift: Days (Field-Based)Benefits: Company Van (Shared), Overtime, Expenses Covered When Working Away, Long-Term ProgressionThe OpportunityA well-established and growing engineering business operating within the utilities sector is looking to strengthen its field team with the addition of an experienced Mechanical Fitter.This is a key hire with a clear succession plan in place, offering the opportunity to step into a senior, hands-on position and play a pivotal role in delivering critical work across UK infrastructure projects.The RoleLead a 2-person field team as the Mechanical Fitter on-siteCarry out installation, maintenance and repair work on wastewater treatment facilitiesTake ownership of jobs from start to completion, ensuring high standards and efficiencyWork closely with an experienced engineerOperate across multiple sites, with a strong focus on the utilities / wastewater sectorOccasional working away (typically 3-4 days per week at times, with some longer stints during peak periods)Requirements10+ years'' experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similarStrong mechanical "hands-on" backgroundConfident fault-finding and problem-solving ability in the fieldExperience with: Lifting and cranage operationsWorking at heightConfined spacesComfortable working in wastewater / utilities environments (majority of work)Engineering qualification (apprenticeship / ..... full job details .....
