Mechanical Fitter

The Mechanical Fitter responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of fixed plant equipment across the Devon Ball Clays operations, ensuring maximum plant reliability and minimal downtime. Working closely with supervisors and the maintenance team, you''ll support fault finding, equipment installations, maintenance planning and continuous improvement projects while maintaining high health, safety and environmental standards. Description Mechanical maintenance and breakdown response Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on fixed plant, including mills, conveyors, fans, filters and packaging systems Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues to minimise downtime Supporting installation, commissioning and modification of equipment Planning and site coordination Working with Plant Supervisors to plan access, shutdowns and maintenance activities Ordering and managing spares to support planned work Recording work completed and contributing to root cause analysis Safety, quality and compliance Working in line with Imerys Safe Working Rules and ..... full job details .....
