Mechanical Fitter

A hands-on Fitter / Welder position responsible for welding, fabrication, mechanical repairs and maintenance across recycling plant and site equipment. They are committed to safety, operational excellence and investing in their engineering teams.DescriptionCarry out welding, fabrication and fitting work on recycling plant and equipment.Repair and replace wear plates, conveyors, guards, chutes, hoppers and structural components.Support planned maintenance, reactive repairs and continuous improvement projects.Follow permit-to-work systems, isolation''s, hot work procedures and safety standards.Work closely with engineering, operations and maintenance teams to maximise plant availability.ProfileExperienced Fitter, Welder, Fabricator or Maintenance Technician.Background within recycling, waste, aggregates, construction, manufacturing or heavy industry.Skilled in welding, fabrication, mechanical fitting and repair work.Strong understanding of permit systems, risk assessments and safe working practices.Able to work independently and deliver high-quality, durable repairs.Job OfferSalary of 35,000- 45,000 DOE.Monday to Friday days-based position.Pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.Training and ..... full job details .....
