Mechanical Fitter
Our client, a leading company in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.Key Responsibilities:Assemble, install and test mechanical equipment and components in line with engineering drawings, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standardOperate hand and power tools confidently while maintaining quality, accuracy and efficiency throughout the build processWork closely with your Supervisor and colleagues to ensure project deadlines are achieved and customer requirements are metIdentify and report any defects, damage or quality issues, ensuring they are communicated and resolved promptlySupport and mentor apprentices, sharing knowledge and promoting good working practices across the teamHelp maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop by following 5S principles, risk assessments, permit to work systems and company HSEQ proceduresJob Requirements:A recognised engineering or trade apprenticeship, with good secondary educationHNC (or equivalent) in Engineering would be advantageousPrevious experience in a mechanical assembly, manufacturing or workshop environmentThe ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and assembly documentationExperience assembling mechanical equipment and working with limits and fits on machined componentsConfidence using hand tools, power tools and heavy workshop equipment, along with measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier gauges and ..... full job details .....
