Mechanical Fitter

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Marine Fitter to join our team on a contracting basis. The role will involve working on a variety of mechanical systems, equipment, and components within a marine/defence environment.Key Responsibilities:Carry out fitting, assembly, maintenance, and repair of marine/mechanical systems.Work from engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.Undertake fault finding and diagnostics on a range of mechanical equipment.Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Support testing and commissioning activities where required.Comply with all site safety, security, and quality procedures.Requirements:SC Clearance (active) - essential.Proven experience as a Mechanical or Marine Fitter, ideally within a defence or shipbuilding environment.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and associated equipment.Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.Contract Details:6-month initial contract (possible extension). 32 per hour CIS.Immediate start available for suitable candidates. ..... full job details .....
