Mechanical Fitter

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client, Sunseeker International, at their Poole shipyard. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a skilled marine engineering environment and play a hands-on role in the construction of some of the world''s most prestigiousluxury yachts.The RoleAs a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, fitting and testing a range of mechanical systems throughout the yacht build process. You''ll work as part of an experienced production team, ensuring installations are completed safely, accurately and to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesInstalling and fitting engines and mechanical equipmentInstalling hydraulic, fuel, cooling and water systemsMechanical assembly, fitting and alignmentReading and working from engineering drawingsTesting, commissioning and fault-findingInstalling mechanical controls and associated componentsWorking to quality, production and health and safety standardsWorking in confined spaces where requiredWorking alongside other trades to meet production schedulesRequirementsMinimum 3 years'' relevant mechanical or engineering experienceMechanical fitting, marine, automotive, plant or similar backgroundExperience with mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling or engine systemsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsGood practical problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong commitment to quality and safetyOwn basic engineering hand toolsJoin Sunseeker and gain the ..... full job details .....
