This is a genuinely hands-on position where your mechanical fitting and maintenance experience will be highly valued. The Role As a Mechanical Fitter, you''ll be responsible for the fitting, maintenance, repair and servicing of a range of machinery and mechanical equipment. You''ll work with machinery including: Lathes Milling machines Grinders Radial arm drills Manual machine tools Other industrial and engineering equipment Your responsibilities will include: Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of components Planned and preventative maintenance Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults Stripping down, repairing and rebuilding machinery Identifying potential mechanical issues and carrying out corrective work Working with bearings, gearboxes and other mechanical components Using a range of hand tools and workshop equipment Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications where ..... full job details .....
