The duties and responsibilities of a Surface Fitter will include but not be limited to: Co-operate with all other work stream and operational team members to co-ordinate work efforts and ensure activities are sequenced correctly Repair any failed mechanical equipment for which you are competent to work on under breakdown conditions back to a safe working condition Systematically inspect and test all mechanical equipment to ensure it is maintained in safe working order. Provide written reports, each shift, to line management detailing all work carried out with test results and follow up recommendations, recording any tests, inspections and defects Ensure compliance with codes and rules, company instructions, RAMS and working instructions with regards to health and safety To work to manufacturer s recommendations on all mechanical equipment and systems Carry out examinations under the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Scheme for the mine to ensure compliance with legislation The Ideal Candidate: Either time served apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance / En...
