Mechanical Fitter

My clients are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their highly skilled Engineering Team in Rugby, with an anticipated start date of November/December. Working within the Aviation and Aerospace Manufacturing sector, our preferred candidate should have the following skills and attributes: The successful candidate will: Work as part of an experienced engineering team, supporting a range of mechanical assembly and disassembly activities within a test facility. The role will involve the build and post-test strip-down of a Fan Blade Ingestion test rig, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in line with engineering requirements. This opportunity would suit someone with a good mechanical aptitude who is fit and able to undertake practical fitting work, has a positive attitude and can follow technical instructions and established procedures. Previous extensive experience is not essential, as training will be provided where required. Core Duties and Responsibilities will include: Carrying out mechanical assembly and disassembly tasks. Building and dismantling Fan Blade Ingestion test rigs in accordance with engineering requirements. Following approved build procedures, technical instructions and safety guidelines. Using hand tools, including spanners, torque wrenches, drills and taps. Using measurement equipment, including micrometers and verniers, to check components and assemblies.
