Mechanical Fitter The Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to assemble mechanical systems and fabricated components to engineering drawings and quality specifications. Key Responsibilities Carry out sub-assembly, production fitting and final assembly. Assemble mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components. Mark, cut, fold and bend materials, including pipework. Prepare weld joints and install hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Check assemblies for alignment, dimensions and quality. Follow health and safety procedures. Requirements Relevant engineering experience and a strong mechanical background. Ability to read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings. Experience using hand and power tools. Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable: Vehicle fitting or fabrication experience, or experience in the aviation, military or marine industries.
