      <description>Location: Derbyshire | Salary: 13.00-13.00 Hourly | Type: Permanent | Mechanical Fitters (2-3 Positions)Location: DerbySalary: 13.00 - 17.00 per hour + OvertimeHours: 42 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 07:30-16:30)Overtime: Time and a half after 39 hours We are currently recruiting for multiple Mechanical Fitters on behalf of a well-established engineering business operating within the rail sector. Due to continued growth and increased workload, our client is looking to expand their skilled team. The Role This is a hands-on position working on a range of mechanical systems and components, primarily within the rail industry. The role will involve both workshop and occasional site-based work. Key responsibilities include: Installation, assembly, and alignment of mechanical components and equipmentMaintenance and repair of railway-related systems, including damaged rolling stockDiagnosing faults and carrying out corrective workWorking with pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, and rotating equipmentReading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentationCompleting job reports and maintenance recordsEnsuring adherence to health and safety procedures at all times There may be occasional travel required.
