Several long-serving fitters have worked their way up from the shop floor into senior roles. The Role As a Mechanical Fitter, you''ll assemble and fit out forklift trucks across new and used equipment lines, from mechanical assembly to hydraulic connections and add-on extras, working to job sheets that guide you through every build. Key Responsibilities: You''ll: Assemble mechanical components and fit add-ons to new and used forklift trucks Connect hydraulic pipework to the correct outputs on each build Fit extras such as CCTV systems, laser height select and keyless start kits Carry out in-line inspections and flag anything that doesn''t look right Take the completed build through a series of test procedures prior to PDI Work towards sign-off in each training area as your skills build What you''ll bring: Essential: A mechanical background, for example automotive, plant, agricultural machinery or a similar hands-on trade Confidence ..... full job details .....
