Due to a vacancy within their existing team, they are looking to recruit a Service Technician to join their workshop-based operation.This is a long-term opportunity for a mechanically minded individual looking to build a career within an established engineering environment.The RoleAs a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, servicing and repair of industrial gearboxes, working primarily within the company''s workshop.The role is approximately 90% workshop based, with occasional travel to customer sites required when additional support is needed by the field service team.Your main duties will include:Assembling industrial gearboxesServicing and repairing gearboxesWorking with bearings and mechanical componentsDiagnosing and resolving mechanical issuesStripping, inspecting and rebuilding equipmentEnsuring work is completed to the required quality standardsWorking safely and efficiently within the workshopSupporting the wider engineering team when requiredAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background and be comfortable working hands-on with mechanical equipment.We''re particularly interested in candidates who have:A mechanical engineering ..... full job details .....
