Mechanical Fitter

3 X MECHANICAL FITTERS REQUIRED ASAP IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!

Due to an increase in work, we are looking for 3 Mechanical Fitters to join a leading electrical switchgear manufacturer in Telford, Shropshire.

These roles offer the opportunity of a permanent contract after a 3 month probation, the working hours are day shifts Monday to Friday (with a lunchtime finish on a Friday), and the job comes with an hourly pay rate of £13.00 per hour.

We are looking for someone who has mechanical fitting / sheet metal assembly experience who can use hand and power tools competently, the business are looking for someone who possesses their own tools.

Previous panel wiring / electrical fitting / switchgear experience would also be highly advantageous.

What You Will Do:

• Assemble and wire electrical components within sheet metal enclosures, panel boards, and switchboards.
• Work from schematic drawings to wire components accurately.
• Fit copper busbar systems and electrical components to back plates and external covers.
• Conduct electrical testing and ensure all installations meet high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with a committed team to deliver exceptional results on power distribution panels and related equipment.
• Apply attention to detail and initiative to ensure all work is completed efficiently and effectively.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience within a mechanical fitting / sheet metal assembly / sheet metal manufacturing role
• Experience reading from, and understanding schematic drawings.
• Understanding of industrial electrics or commercial electrical installations.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and progress within an expanding team.
• A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

This Mechanical Fitter role is integral to the company''s expansion and development of new product ranges.
