Mechanical Fitter

Our client is a specialist fabrication and mechanical contractor that delivers emergency standby diesel generator systems, technology, and integrated engineering services to the global energy industry. Their-solutions support our clients in optimising their efficiency by ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of critical equipment.

The Multi-skilled Mechanical Fitter role will encompass the following responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical fitout/installation of acoustic generator enclosures
• Read drawings, identify components, and assemble/fitout items including engines, radiators, LV switch gear, weather louvres, exhaust systems, silencers, motorised inlet dampers, internal fuel day tanks, and SCR systems
• Maintain good quality and efficiency
• Flexibility to carry out mechanical fitting and welding small components into position
• Competent use of plant and equipment, including range forklifts up to 25t, boom arms, MEWPs, and overhead cranes
• Ability to jack and skate high-value items into position
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to health and safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Engineering qualification (advantageous)
• Willingness to carry out site work with a commitment to overtime when required
