Key Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment and machinery.
Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions efficiently.
Assemble, adjust, and test machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Work from technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to complete tasks accurately.
Support production teams to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment in line with health and safety standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Experience with assembly, installation, and maintenance of industrial machinery.
Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Health and safety awareness and adherence to safe working practices.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with CNC or automated machinery.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or other mechanical systems.
Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
