Our client is a Main/Principal Contractor within the Water, Industrial, MOD, and Power Sectors and is looking for a Mechanical Fitter based at their Derbyshire office.

Key responsibilities: 
The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for installations of pipe work and equipment and to complete all tasks / activities assigned in a safe andamp; efficient manner ensuring that all associated standards are adhered to. 
Working across various projects duties and responsibilities include installing pipework, valves, pumps, motors etc 
Carrying out planned maintenance checks 
To undertake assigned activities under the direction of the Supervisor or Team Leader 
Adhering to strict safety regulations 
Learning about new mechanical andamp; piping legislation 
Ensure all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, quality andamp; cost 
Take care of any safety equipment / tools provided and ensure they are used correctly 
 
Skills / Qualifications/certifications: 
Demonstrable experience in a mechanical fitting role. 
CSCS Card 
Manual Handling 
Pressure Safety Systems Regulations (PSSR) 
Own Tools
