Mechanical Fitter

Astute''s Power Team are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join the EPC Contractor on the new build OCGT plant based in Lincolnshire on a 4 months contract.The Mechanical Fitter position comes with a flat hourly rate from 26.00 to 30.00 CIS.Role responsibilities and key skills for the role: Carry out the installation, maintenance, repair and alignment of mechanical equipment and plant systems in accordance with engineering drawings and project specifications. Close out mechanical punch list items, ensuring all outstanding works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, overhauls and assembly activities on pumps, valves, rotating equipment, conveyors and associated mechanical systems. Support commissioning, testing and fault-finding activities to ensure mechanical systems are fully operational and ready for handover. Read and interpret technical drawings, PandIDs and manufacturer documentation to support installation and maintenance works. Demonstrate experience within Power Plant Repair and Maintenance environments (Coal, GT, CCGT) and/or large-scale new-build energy and industrial construction projects.
