A well-established and rapidly expanding M&E / Building Services contractor is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team, working across commercial projects throughout Wiltshire.

Projects range from -50k3m, covering mechanical building services, planned and reactive maintenance and project works.

The Role

• Prepare accurate and competitive mechanical estimates and tenders
• Review drawings, specifications and BOQs and carry out take-offs
• Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors
• Prepare detailed cost proposals and tender submissions
• Maintain accurate tender information and quotation status
• Identify commercial or technical issues within tender documentation
• Use Excel and estimating/commercial software to manage estimates

The Successful Candidate

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator / M&E Estimator
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services
• Experience pricing projects and producing detailed cost proposals
• Confident reading mechanical drawings, specifications and BOQs
• Experience carrying out material and labour take-offs
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Background in M&E, Building Services, Mechanical Contracting or Hard FM
• Based within a commutable distance of Swindon
