Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to take ownership of the estimating process and play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive and profitable tenders. Mechanical Estimator - Position Overview Manage the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission. Analyse tender drawings, specifications and contract documentation to establish project requirements and commercial risks. Undertake detailed take-offs, prepare bills of quantities and build up rates for labour, plant and materials. Manage supply chain enquiries, obtaining and analysing competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Liaise with clients, consultants, designers and internal teams throughout the tendering process. Identify opportunities for innovation and value engineering to improve project value and profitability. Ensure cost planning and estimating accurately reflect project requirements and risk profile.
