We are working with a well-established and growing mechanical contractor who are looking to bring an experienced Mechanical Estimator into their team based in Nottingham.

The Role

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a variety of mechanical projects.

Duties will include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical packages (HVAC, ductwork, pipework, etc.)
• Carrying out take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Producing Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
• Reviewing tender documents and identifying risks/opportunities
• Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly ductwork and HVAC
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience producing and pricing BOQs
• Strong commercial awareness
• Good communication and organisational skills
