Job Title: Mechanical EstimatorLocation: Derbyshire Salary: £45,000 - £65,000Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pmType: Full Time PermanentStart Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)Duties Ability to use Excel is a must as our Estimating package is centred around an in-house developed Excel system although other software packages may be considered moving forwards.Send out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors to assist with pricing.Send out TQ s to Main Contractors / Clients and monitor responses for incorporation into tenders where ambiguities fall between the drawings and specifications provided.Take off services from drawings and provided equipment schedules where predesigned and send out to the marketplace for pricing.Provide tender logs and follow up via the Main Contractors and End User Clients for feedback on status and report to senior management on a regular basis as required.Some front end survey work would occasionally be required to facilitate initial costings.A knowledge / understanding of SBEM, Thermal Models, SAP, BRUKL and BREEAM targets to facilitate pulling tenders together is a pre-requisite however not the actual software use.Clear, precise and articulate Tender letter and Contractors Proposal writing is a must complete with clear and unambiguous qualifications.Internal meetings with the Company Directors for commercial settlement of bids would be required to review scope and commercial aspects prior to tender submissionThe successful ..... full job details .....
