Mechanical Estimator

Mechanical Estimator We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing building services company based in Gravesend, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of pricing and tender submissions while working closely with the contracts team and company directors. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of mechanical building services projects.The role:Analyse drawings, specifications and employer requirementsPrepare accurate take-offs, Bills of Quantities and cost estimatesSource, analyse and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricesTake ownership of pricing and tender submissionsWork closely with Contract Managers and DirectorsAttend necessary meetings and support negotiationsEnsure a smooth project handover to operationsManage multiple tenders and deadlinesProduce accurate and competitive submissions as a Mechanical EstimatorThe successful Mechanical Estimator will need:Previous mechanical estimation and pricing experienceStrong understanding of the building services industryExperience interpreting drawings and specificationsAbility to prepare accurate take-offs and cost estimatesExcellent commercial awareness and numeracyStrong negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple tenders and work under pressureStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamA professional and reliable approach expected of a Mechanical ..... full job details .....
