Job Title: Mechanical Estimator Location: Cambridge (North), Cambridgeshire Benefits: Company car or car allowance, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension A market leading regional MandE Contractor is looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join their established team. The company provides MandE services to a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors including Commercial, Education, Defence, Life Sciences, Industrial, Healthcare, Leisure and Data Centres. As the Mechanical Estimator you be key in the pre-construction process, supporting the commercial team in producing accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical building services projects. You will be involved in tender reviews, take-offs, cost planning, and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value. You will be work within an established MandE estimating team in preparing mechanical estimates up to 10M with typical values between 2-3M, so previous experience is essential. The Mechanical Estimator will have the following duties and responsibilities: Preparing accurate and competitive mechanical tenders for a range of building services projects using estimating software packages. Conduct take-offs from drawings and specifications. Manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission. Attend site surveys or tender interviews as necessary.
