Mechanical Estimator

Conrad Consulting are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established and growing building services contractor. We''re looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical estimating who can confidently manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and play a key role in the continued success of the business. Based in the Central Belt of Scotland, the office offers an excellent location with convenient access from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, making it an ideal base for candidates across the region. The Role of the Mechanical Estimator: As a Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will take ownership of mechanical estimating activities across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, residential, and public sector projects. You''ll work closely with clients, consultants, suppliers, and the wider project team to produce accurate, competitive, and commercially sound tenders. Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Estimator: Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical estimates and tender submissions. Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. Complete take-offs and develop comprehensive cost plans. Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions. Attend site visits, client meetings, and tender interviews where required. Support business development by building and maintaining strong client relationships. Assist in ..... full job details .....
