Mechanical Estimator

Our client are currently seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their team. We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Mechanical Estimator to join our team based in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical building services projects. Working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams, you will help ensure tenders are commercially competitive, technically accurate and submitted within agreed deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator to join a professional team and contribute to the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of mechanical projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical installation projects. Review mechanical drawings, specifications, tender documents and bills of quantities. Undertake detailed material take-offs and calculate labour, plant and subcontractor costs. Estimate mechanical services, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, pipework and associated building services. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
