Mechanical Engineer - Trainee Operations Manager

As a Mechanical Engineer - Trainee Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our operations team. You will leverage your mechanical engineering knowledge and site management skills to oversee daily operations, coordinate teams, and drive efficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of mechanical experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Systems Management: utilise your understanding of mechanical equipment to maintain and improve system performance.
  • Site Management: Oversee daily site operations, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Lead and coordinate teams to meet production goals.
  • Process Control: analyse production flow, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency metrics.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet specifications and adhere to quality control procedures.
  • Maintenance Planning: Assist in the development and execution of preventive and reactive maintenance routines to minimise downtime.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports to senior leadership, ensuring clarity and accuracy in construction/control of reports.
  • Digital Tools: utilise digital tools for data management, process improvement, and team communication.
  • Communication: Foster a collaborative environment by effectively communicating with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in mechanical work; site management experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, site management basics, production processes, quality control, and maintenance planning.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
