Up to -41,200 + -100 monthly shift allowance
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern

• Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
• Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
• Week 3: 07:00 - 15:00

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Resident Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management team in Macclesfield. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and fault-finding of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring all planned and reactive works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer will be:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Complete all relevant documentation and update CAFM systems accurately.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, risk assessments and permits to work.
• Maintain plant rooms and equipment to a high standard.
• Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
• Support operational continuity, including occasional out-of-hours call-out requirements where necessary.

The successful Mechanical Engineer will have:

• Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
• Electrical engineering qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong fault-finding experience with HVAC, pumps, motors, BMS, LTHW and LV systems.
• Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable

• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395.
• Experience with cooling towers.
• IPAF 3a & 3b certification.
• Permit to Work experience.
• First Aid qualification.
