Mechanical EngineerAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Estates and Facilities team, supporting a diverse and complex building portfolio. You''ll be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and compliance activities to ensure all mechanical systems remain safe, reliable, and operational.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out PPM and reactive maintenance on:HVAC systemsAir Handling Units (AHUs)Fan Coil Units (FCUs)Chilled BeamsBoilersPumpsHot and Cold Water SystemsPlumbing InstallationsDiagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently.Undertake minor mechanical installations and alterations.Inspect, service, and maintain plant rooms and building services infrastructure.Support compliance activities relating to water hygiene, pressure systems, and mechanical services.Carry out water hygiene tasks including temperature monitoring, flushing, and remedial works in line with HSG274 and ACOP L8 guidance.Accurately record maintenance activities using CAFM systems and digital devices.Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.Liaise with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate works.Identify recurring faults and recommend service improvements.Complete mandatory training and health and safety requirements.Support apprentices and junior engineers through coaching and mentoring.Participate in the engineering on-call rota, providing emergency out-of-hours support when ..... full job details .....
