Mechanical Maintenance EngineerAnnual Salary: £42,000 (including £2,000 call-out allowance)Location: Bury St EdmundsJob Type: Full-time, Monday to FridayWe are seeking a skilled multi skilled engineer to join our team in Bury St Edmunds. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in mechanical engineering, looking to apply their expertise across various engineering tasks on-site. Experience in HVAC systems is also highly beneficial.Day-to-day of the role:Carry out work assignments issued and maximise the effectiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient completion of tasks.Maintenance and hygiene of equipment and support logistics teams.Provide support to the team during breaks and absences and work together to ensure completion of their duties.Follow all work instructions, procedures, job descriptions at all times.Ensure that all Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks issued to the shift are completed.Complete and check all necessary paperwork.Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the site and carry out prioritized work as agreed.Resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion.Provide the Engineering Manager with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift, related quality issues, work orders completed, PMs completed, and other details as required.Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up.Required Skills and ..... full job details .....
