Mechanical Maintenance EngineerLocation: DartfordPattern: 4 on / 4 off - 7am to 7pm We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a leading waste management company serving both domestic and international partners. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the smooth operation, reliability and ongoing improvement of plant and equipment across their waste processing and recycling sites. Your expertise will help ensure that critical systems run efficiently, supporting sustainable waste management solutions and high-quality service delivery.Key Responsibilities Carry out planned maintenance inspections to ensure equipment reliabilityPlan and deliver corrective and reactive work, minimising production downtimeModify and improve plant and equipment to maximise availability and performanceComplete dynamic risk assessments to uphold safe working practicesMaintain accurate shift paperwork, condition reports, and documentation in line with the maintenance strategy Qualifications and Experience Completed apprenticeship or (NVQ Level 2 or 3) in an appropriate engineering disciplineHNC, City and Guilds, or equivalent qualification in a relevant disciplineExperience working in a process, production, or manufacturing environmentKnowledge of CMMS systems, their purpose and functionalityUnderstanding of electrical systems and safety standards Salary and Benefits £52,900 per annum (depending on experience)Company pension ..... full job details .....
