Mechanical Engineer

Are you a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with experience repairing, rebuilding and overhauling industrial machinery?

We are currently recruiting multiple Mechanical Engineers to join a highly successful engineering business in Dudley. This role would suit a practical Mechanical Engineer who enjoys workshop-based engineering and working on complex mechanical equipment.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you''ll become part of a highly skilled engineering team carrying out repairs and complete overhauls on industrial motors, pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment.

As a Mechanical Engineer, your duties will include:

• Dismantling industrial equipment
• Investigating mechanical failures
• Diagnosing faults and identifying repair requirements
• Rebuilding pumps, motors and gearboxes
• Replacing bearings, shafts, seals and other components
• Conducting full machinery overhauls
• Testing repaired equipment
• Supporting occasional site-based engineering projects

The successful Mechanical Engineer will enjoy a varied and technically interesting workload across a wide range of industrial equipment.

• Heavy engineering

• Mechanical fitting
• Pump overhaul
• Gearbox refurbishment
• Motor repair
• Manufacturing environments

Ideal applicants will possess:

• Strong mechanical engineering experience
• Strip-down and rebuild knowledge
• Fault-finding capability
• Experience working on rotating equipment
• A practical, hands-on engineering approach

Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm

Various night patterns available:

• 4 x 10 hour shifts
• 4 x 12 hour shifts
• Monday to Thursday

• £20.00 per hour Days
• Up to £25.00 per hour Nights
• Overtime opportunities available
• Long-term permanent position
