Mechanical Engineer

Location; UK-Wide (Field-Based) We are working with a global leader in industrial shredding, recycling and material handling systems, supplying and supporting equipment used across the waste management, recycling, wood processing, plastics and industrial manufacturing sectors. The business operates a nationwide field service model with a strong focus on reliability, aftersales support and customer uptime. This is a great opportunity for a Field Service Engineer who is looking for variety, autonomy and hands-on work with market-leading processing equipment, within a small, close-knit and growing service team. You will be field-based, covering customer sites across the UK, with around 60% of your time spent on the road including regular overnight stays, and the remainder based from home. The role runs Monday to Friday. There is no fixed overtime, but any additional hours worked are given back as time off in lieu, with weekend call-out work paid at an enhanced rate when required. Full training will be provided to bring you up to speed on the equipment, and you will work as part of a team of three, with plans in place to grow this further. This role would suit an experienced mechanical engineer from a recycling, waste management or process plant background, ideally with exposure to shredders, balers or similar capital equipment.
