Mechanical Engineer Cramlington Salary Depending on Experience We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Cramlington. This is a hands-on, project-focused role where you will be responsible for developing mechanical solutions for retrofit and upgrade projects within the power generation and gas turbine industry. Mechanical Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: Develop mechanical solutions for retrofit, modification and upgrade projects Work from customer requirements, site conditions and 3D laser scan data to develop designs and layouts Develop dismantling and installation methodologies for equipment Plan site workscope requirements, including the positioning of cranes, lifting equipment, welfare facilities and other temporary works Support crane and lifting studies, particularly within restricted or challenging site environments Carry out equipment condition assessments and support site execution Coordinate mechanical interfaces between existing equipment and new installations Work closely with Project Management, Operations, Sales, Engineering and Site Teams Ensure designs are practical to manufacture, transport and install Support FEED studies, technical documentation and safety reviews Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, safety requirements and quality standards Provide technical input during the proposal and project stages Liaise with customers, fabricators and other external stakeholders Support continuous ..... full job details .....
