Site Mechanical Engineer / Pump Service Engineer Location: Harlow, EssexSalary: £35,000 £45,000 per annum, depending on experienceJob Type: Permanent, Full-TimeHours: Monday Thursday 8:00am 4:30pm Friday 8:00am 3:30pmOvertime: Available and paid at premium ratesThe Opportunity We are working with an established engineering business in Harlow that is looking to appoint an experienced Site Mechanical Engineer / Pump Service Engineer.This is a hands-on position combining customer-site and workshop work, servicing, maintaining, overhauling and repairing pumps, motors and other industrial rotating equipment.You will primarily cover customer sites within approximately a 50-mile radius of Harlow, so a full UK driving licence is essential.Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair industrial pumps. Strip, inspect, overhaul and rebuild pumps. Replace mechanical seals, bearings and other components. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs. Repair and rebuild single-phase and three-phase electric motors. Service industrial fans and blower units. Work on industrial gearboxes and rotating machinery. Carry out mechanical assembly and disassembly. Undertake fault finding on mechanical and associated electrical systems. Work with electrical controls where required. Test repaired and refurbished equipment. Complete service reports and job documentation. Liaise directly with customers while working on site. Attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.
