Mechanical EngineerLocation: Barrow-in-FurnessSalary: 65,000 - 75,000 + Car Allowance and PackageThe OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a major energy infrastructure project within the growing hydrogen and low-carbon sector.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a technically challenging project, supporting the mechanical installation, commissioning and successful completion of a large-scale facility. Working closely with the Project Director and wider project team, you will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and coordinate all mechanical installation activities across the project.Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with project and company procedures.Take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical works from installation through to commissioning.Review and interpret mechanical design information, drawings and specifications.Provide technical support and guidance to supervisors, foremen and installation teams.Ensure procurement activities are technically compliant and aligned with project programmes.Monitor progress against programme, budget and quality requirements.Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.Identify project risks, issues and potential delays and implement corrective actions where required.Support commissioning, ..... full job details .....
