Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours on site

Primary Industry: Manufacturing and Production

Secondary Industry: Engineering

Job Duties:

• Designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components
• Conducting research to gather information on mechanical engineering projects
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure project success
• Creating technical drawings using CAD software
• Performing quality control checks on mechanical systems
• Providing technical support and guidance to production teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Professional certification as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) preferred

Education:

• Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Experience in designing and testing mechanical systems

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software and other engineering tools (Mathcad)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master''s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Previous experience in the manufacturing and production industry

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily in an office or laboratory setting
• May be required to travel to project sites occasionally
• Full-time hours with occasional overtime may be necessary
