Mechanical Engineer

Mech Tech Professionals are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a temporary project based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. 

Our client, one of the UK's leading building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out companies, are seeking a competent professional to be responsible for interpreting initial design information, interfacing with the supply chain, ensuring compliance with specifications, and supporting project delivery teams throughout the lifecycle of mechanical works on a Thames Water Framework project.

Shift Pattern/Working hours: To be confirmed

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and participate in design reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements
• Ensure compliance with asset standards and technical specifications
• Liaise closely with the supply chain to develop scopes of work and ensure technical clarity
• Specify and order mechanical equipment and materials as required
• Provide installation support and management throughout the build phase
• Manage technical queries and change control to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Good experience in Mechanical Engineering, ideally in a project or construction environment
• Proven ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders including design, procurement, planning, and construction teams
