Mechanical Engineer

A Mechanical Engineer is required for a permanent, static role near Oxford Circus, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across building mechanical and electrical systems.

You''ll manage day-to-day maintenance, emergency repairs and small works while ensuring PPM activity meets contractual KPIs and SLAs.

The Role
 
As the Mechanical Engineer, you''ll:

• Manage reactive works across building mechanical and electrical systems.
• Respond to site emergencies and complete remedial Help Desk requests.
• Coordinate and complete small works repairs across the site.
• Deliver planned maintenance in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
• Maintain accurate PPM records and keep the CAFM system updated.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for additional works.
• Compile monthly reports covering completed maintenance activity.
• Provide a professional service to internal and external customers.

About You
 
To be successful as the Mechanical Engineer, you''ll have:

• NVQ Level 2 or higher in a mechanical discipline.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive building maintenance.
• The ability to respond effectively to faults and emergency repairs.
• Experience maintaining accurate maintenance and compliance records.
• A customer-focused approach when working with site stakeholders.

• Static, Monday-to-Friday working arrangement.
• Day shifts of 7:00am–4:00pm, 8:00am–5:00pm or 9:00am–6:00pm.
• Varied responsibility across PPM, reactive maintenance and small works.

The role includes a 1-in-3 call-out rota covering Cambridge and Guildford.
