      <description>Location: Wigton | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | Mechanical Engineer   Wigton Area  Salary dependent on experience  Adecco Workington are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well established manufacturing business in the Wigton area.  This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance and performance of production machinery across the site. The successful candidate will be involved in both planned and reactive maintenance, machinery improvements and breakdown support within a busy manufacturing environment.  Hours are Monday to Friday working days initially, with flexibility required around shifts as training progresses and business needs develop.   Key duties   * Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance  * Diagnosing faults and repairing production equipment  * Supporting machinery installations and upgrades  * Responding to breakdowns and reducing downtime  * Working closely with production and maintenance teams  * Following health and safety procedures at all times  * Completing maintenance documentation accurately   About you   * Mechanical Engineering qualification such as ONC, NVQ Level 3 or City &amp; Guilds  * Previous experience within manufacturing or production environments  * Strong me...</description>
