Mechanical Electrical Fitter
Electrical Bias Mechanical and Electrical Fitter - Rail Location: Acton Rate: £42 per hour Contract: 6 months Our client, a leading organisation within the rail industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Mechanical and Electrical Fitter to join their team at Acton Railway Engineering Works, supporting S Stock upgrades. The Role Carry out electrical and mechanical fitting, assembly and modification work. Read and follow detailed work instructions and engineering drawings. Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment. Carry out electrical installation, wiring and associated fitting work. Correctly set and use torque wrenches, including witness marking. Use basic measuring equipment including Vernier calipers and micrometers. Work with overhead cranes and other workshop equipment, with training provided. Maintain and modify complex electrical and mechanical systems. About You Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent. Previous experience as an Electrical Fitter, Electrical Technician or Mechanical and Electrical Fitter. Strong electrical fitting/assembly experience with a mechanical aptitude. Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings and technical instructions. Rail, rolling stock or heavy engineering experience is highly desirable.
